Washing hands is the simplest and most efficient method of maintaining children’s health. It is especially crucial in preventing the spread of diseases, such as colds, flu, and stomach germs. Early training in good handwashing practices helps prevent the growth of sickness and germs.
Why Wash Hands?

Simple Handwash Guide
π§ Step 1: Wet Your Hands
Touch the warm and cold water
π§΄ Step 2: Add Soap
Put soap and pea-sized drops just enough to make bubbles!
π Step 3: Scrub, Scrub, Scrub!
Rub your hands together to make a lather. Scrub all parts of your hands, including:
- Palm to palm
- The backs of your hands
- Between your fingers
- Under your nails
- Thumbs and wrists
- Sing a 20-second song like “Happy Birthday” or “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” twice to make it fun!
πΏ Step 4: Rinse Your Hands
Remove all the soap with clean, running water. Bye-bye to the slippery bubbles!
π§» Step 5: Dry Your Hands
Dry your hands with a paper towel, hand towel, or hand dryer. Bugs love wet surfaces, so make sure your hands are warm.
Making it Fun.
π Smile and enjoy: Soaps with different colours, songs, or stickers for cleaning well to encourage hand washing. We wash our hands in this manner early in the morning and do it repeatedly without fail!
π Wash your hands, too: Show them how to do it; they learn more when they see.
πΆ Start early: The earlier the infants and toddlers do it, the better. By starting early, you’re setting them up for a lifetime of good health habits.
